This piece – titled Presence/Performance, references my dialogue with the Manchester School of Art Buildings, both old and new.

I walked through the spaces during the opening of the MA Show, (2013), while one hand remained in contact with the architectural surfaces.

The print on the dress originates from drawings that I made, and by wearing the work during the performance, their presence was simultaneously everywhere and nowhere.

Artist Jackie Haynes photographed the performance. The documentation of the walk evidences both the experiential conversation I had with the site, and the institutional critique surrounding the idea of access and showing art within a design focused building.
