Arts For Nature – AFN FESTIVAL
In August 2014, a group of artists, ecologists, and community groups came together to create an engaging, participatory arts event at Atherton Cricket Club.
The Festival included walks, workshops, performance and live music…exposing participants to quality contemporary professional artists, and creating a new platform for socially engaged art.
‘We welcome more families to take part in the regular walks and creative workshops delivered by AFN and FAWN. We aim to shift the aesthetic of our green space, and focus upon the value of the biodiversity and it’s relationship to health and wellbeing. We are working together to promote the significance of engaging in participatory arts, in the natural environment, and to create an exciting multidisciplinary arts experience.’
