Prints

I’m interested in the process of how images are made on the copper plates during the journeys between the print workshop and the places I walk to.

The composition of fine lines, sensitive, subtle marks, the nuances, slight impressions, the scratches, on the surface of the plates, the tones and textures that build up between the layers and emerge as drawings.

I make additional marks inspired by the acoustics of the places where they are made, by exploring traces of fluidity, sound and movement, and the sensory experience of working site responsively in the natural environment.

Each print is titled by the time, date and place it was made. Many accumulate a list of these in the title, depending on the number of journeys made.
